La Vigne Vierge Bed and Breakfast is run and owned by Andrew and Kate Lockwood. Originally from Oxfordshire in South East England we moved to the South West of France following a life long dream of wanting to live in France and embrace the slower pace of life.

La Vigne Vierge is situated in the Lot region of South West France in the small hamlet of Germillac near the village of Montgesty. It offers you an adult only haven of peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This beautiful 18th Century Quercy Stone house provides the perfect base for a wonderful stay in this gorgeous unspoilt region of France. There is lots for you to discover in the Lot region including the gorgeous medieval city of Cahors just 20 minutes away as well as many pretty villages, castles, vineyards, gardens, rivers, fabulous walks and much more. We are also situated only a short drive from the Dordogne where you will find many more attractions for you to visit.

La Vigne Vierge offers 3 luxurious double rooms, all with gorgeous en suite shower rooms. The chambres d'hôtes has it's own private entrance separate from the main house and within the chambres d'hôtes building is our reception area and a communal dining and lounge area for exclusive use of the guests. Here you will find comfy sofas, complimentary tea, coffee and water, information about what there is to do in the area, plus a selection of books and games for you to borrow.
Breakfast is served on the terrace of the main house (weather permitting). It is a continental style breakfast with fresh croissants, home made bread, home made jams, cereals, yoghurt, muesli, fruit and fruit juices and of course tea or coffee.

Two times a week we invite you to join us for an evening meal. A delicious meal of local and home grown produce (with an aperitif and local Cahors wine included) will be served "en famille" again on the fabulous terrace (weather permitting).

The location of the house is nestled into the rural countryside and is very unspoilt and peaceful. The garden is designed to allow you to relax and unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility.There are many shady seating areas for you to rest out of the sun. You can also follow the woodland pathways and discover the secret seating areas hidden away in the woods or meadow land. Perfect for sitting and watching nature.
The swimming pool at La Vigne Vierge is 10 x 5 meters. Set at the far end of the garden and surrounded by woodland. There is complimentary water available from the fridge in the pool house as well as pool towels for you to use. The sun loungers, deck chairs and sofas all provide somewhere to soak up the sun, read a book or just simply have a snooze after a long day exploring the area.
